Busy Bees NZ provider is expanding its presence in New Zealand and Australia. Busy Bees Early Learning has bought New Zealand-based Provincial Education Group, which operates 75 centres offering 5,500 places across the North and South Islands in a deal that is expected to be completed by the end of October. It has also completed the acquisition of Australian childcare provider Think Childcare Group.
Busy Bees aims to provide children with the best start in life through an education approach based on discovery and exploration, with respectful relationships. The company has a strong local focus and is dedicated to the best interests of tamariki (children) as its first priority. The company values the unique cultural identity of each centre and its community, while delivering high-quality services that support families.

A new early learning centre is taking enrolments in Stoke. The centre on Titoki Street is replacing the Little Red Fox childcare centre that closed last month. It will open in March and take up to 29 children. Owner Elise Walton said the business had already received many expressions of interest.
“We are excited to be part of the Stoke community,” she said. “We are able to offer a different service and fill a gap in the market for childcare in this area.”
